A year has sailed by
The end of October 2009 saw the first birthday of Bay Web Designs
It's been an up and down year; the first months were very quiet but by spring I was starting to get regular enquiries and even a few clients. I have learned a lot during this last year - not only about running my own business but also about ways to help my clients; there's always something new to discover. Of course, I did feel a little daunted at first, but I am a very happy business owner now who couldn't imagine doing anything else.
Don't forget, I still offer a FREE one hour consultation to new clients and am always ready to help old ones.

I got a call from a great guy named Chris asking me to create a website for an international amateur video competition being run by a local group. Morecambe Bay Movie Makers wanted to get Morecambe on the map and so have organised this competition and named it "The Erics". Why not have a go? The closing date is February 2010 so you have plenty of time - go to Morecambe Bay International Video Competition for more information.
I used to do volunteer work while I was at university but since starting up my business that side of my life has been lacking. I was very pleased then to get a call from Michelle Hall asking if I would help her set up a fundraising website for her baby daughter. Adrianna has Holt-Oram Syndrome and is a little cutie who deserves some help. I have set up a website for her and also a FaceBook page. Visit Adrianna's website and see if there's any way you can help. It doesn't have to be money - sharing the link with others would be great.

My working hours are generally between 9am and 4pm Monday - Friday. However, out of courtesy, I always put my phone on silent during meetings.
